'Shair-e-Mashriq' is the well-known title held by Allama Iqbal. Iqbal awakened the Muslims by proposing a brilliant notion to them all. Iqbal not only expressed a modern consciousness in the world of poetry, a consciousness that was aware of the basic flaws of Western civilization and industrial civilization.
